Located on the west coast of Corsica, the region of the Gulf of Sagone has some of the most beautiful sandy beaches in South Corsica. Clear waters, mountains as a backdrop and evening light: these are our favourites, all within a short drive from the house in Coggia.

Sagone Beach

The resort's large beach: a long ribbon of fine sand in an arc, with a gentle slope, ideal for families. You can find everything nearby — restaurants, ice cream parlors, sunbed rentals and water activities. Perfect for a carefree day.

The mouth of the Liamone

A little wilder, the beach that borders the mouth of the Liamone river seduces those looking for space. The mix of fresh water from the river and the sea creates a special atmosphere. Bring an umbrella and a picnic: the shops are further away.

Tiuccia and the Gulf of Liscia

Descending to the south, the small port of Tiuccia opens onto the Gulf of Liscia and its coves. The place is more intimate, very pleasant at the end of the day, with a nice view of the Genoese tower that watches over the bay.

The beaches of Cargèse: Pero, Chiuni, Menasina

To the north, around the Greek village of Cargèse, some of the most photogenic beaches in the area: Pero and its large curve of light sand, Chiuni, or the more discreet Menasina. Turquoise waters and sandy bottom, less than half an hour's drive away.

Our advice

Come in the morning in the middle of summer for tranquility and parking. Think of shade (beaches are not very sheltered) and good water shoes for coves. our favorite beaches are on Sagone (Liamone st joseph beach, Santana beach)
